Here are collected links and raw info for compiling the HyperXTalk engine code on GitHub (derived from open-source LiveCode Community 9.7 DP1).
You may want to look at other Discourse posts under this title for the platform-specific info.
Material mainly comes from the LiveCode (LC) and OpenXTalk (OXT) forums. The LiveCode Facebook group has not been explored (but mostly not touched the question of compiling). For gitter.im see the comment at the end.

This is the gitter space “LiveCode/Lobby” for the LC developer folks active from Dec 8, 2016 to Fri, Nov 19, 2021.
Much valuable insider knowledge got traded, especially on bug fixing in the engine, on writing LCB code, on third-party code like Levure etc.
The space is still online. The most recent messages are displayed. Using Info>Settings>Advanced let’s you open the archive. There is an option to export data, must be done separately for archive and current stream.
Compiling the engine was not the most active topic there, but from time to time someone showed up who looked for help on this. Such entries are referenced in the platform-specific compilation posts here with “gitter ”
