Post your comments or another design and lets get some branding going on!
I actually liked the thing that Claude did for the website. You want to post it here? Or to use no icon at all – like all typographers know, this is often the best solution. Discussing fancy branding are a distraction at this stage anyway, my humble opinion. ![]()
We need more branding than using the old Livecode branding. They could always come after us on that aspect. As for what Claude came up with, you can view it at hyperxtalk.com which is totally a work in progress.
Yes, the LC branding has to go, of course, totally agree. Just would advise on not to spend time discussing different, even competing graphic and layout solutions. Just a favicon as a website and file signature would be a helpful thing. Claude would offer a simple solution for this, this hexagon. It is not really a logo and need not be used otherwise. The Claude typo is very distinctive. It need not be beautiful as well. I hope the font is free. But we are in the middle of a discussion already now. Do as you like please! I’ll stay out of this.
Please don’t stay out of it, the discussion is the whole point of this thread! We have some incredibly talented people who want to help out with the branding - we’re not all geeks ![]()
Hehe, I gave my 2 cents already! I just wanted to remark that the hallucinated solution by Claude would not be a bad choice either and should be on the list. You chose the name, now choose a logo or typography, and we are good to go. All good work!
I can’t choose everything ![]()
Those look good!
Post must be 20 characters long.
I know the logo has probably been set, but had been toying with X-based imagery. Just attaching some ideas I’d been playing with - these are SVGs, so any detail is easily editable….
The bottom right one, I see HOT for some reason ![]()
Well, this is hot stuff ![]()
Should have called it HotXTalk ![]()
I promised to stay out of this, but may I interject that the whole “X” thing is a bit toXic currently because of the obsession of a certain individual named Elon with this character. So it need maybe not play the prima donna role in the name and logo of a friendly free programming environment. We are not so much X, we are hyper, or we are talk. ![]()
ahh.. Good point! Yeah, lets turn away from the X thing as we’re not Twitter wannabes ![]()
The web site is off to a great start.
