# macOS Silky smooth scrolling

This is available in the script editor and scrolling text fields. The custom scroll areas still have that old choppy scrolling (you’ll really notice it after experiencing the smooth scrolling) This also works in standalone applications (as seen in the video)

This is pretty cool. The scroll behavior before this was really irritating.

I was looking at the code and I thing you may be able to speed it up. All of the “do script” calls are not really needed. `the mousecontrol` and `the mousestack` can be used directly with modifiers like `the long name of`… or `control 1`…` of` without issue. The problem is that if you just `put the mousecontrol into tControl` then you don’t have a reference that can be used like you want. If you use `put the long name of the mousecontrol into tControl` then you can use that variable as an object reference.

I did something today and had it throw an error (happened to be in a do script line I think), but have not been able to reproduce it to define a recipe.

Make sure you have both inclusions enabled to get the smooth scrolling (one is for the script-library and the other is for the extension)
